Where in the bible does it mention the seven deadly sins? My bible says all unrightousness is sin.?

Why are people so seduced, deceived and bewitched to think that there are seven deadly sins? when the bible says clearly that all sinners will burn in the lake of fire and brimstone and be tourmented day and night forever, unless they repent and give up their sin.

seduced, deceived, and bewitched? somebody’s a little too into conspiracy theories if you ask me…

you are probably sinning right now for doubting the Lords consistency, better get an asbestos suit

who said the seven deadly sins are more deadly than others. That is like saying a Bible preacher is more righteous than a priest. Get educated moron.

Essays on the Seven Deadly Sins, the virtues they oppose and the personal loss associated with them can be found everywhere… The Seven Deadly Sins never occur as a formal list in the Bible. Some people say they can all be found in Matthew’s Gospel (chapters 5 through 7)

The Seven Deadly Sins are merely a literary convention, as well as an an old tradition. Some churches may even teach it as dogma, but it’s not Biblical. I don’t think anybody’s suggesting that it is. Not all churches teach Biblical literalism, so to them, whether or not it’s Biblical is not particulary important.

Try reading The Book of Job, which Gregory the Great used when he defined the seven deadly sins. Also look at http://www.deadlysins.com
